June: Where are they?(photo)

The top picture was taken in 1999. The bottom picture was taken in May this year of the same place. Where have the beer cans gone? Of the seven or eight cans I photographed two years ago I could only find two - the one, rusty and just visible, the other behind the tree.

(ps. sorry about the difference in picture quality but the bottom one is taken with a very cheap digital).ft by the dead!
